Asian-Inspired Turkey Lettuce Wraps
This is one of those recipes that just gets it. Simple, flavorful, and satisfying without weighing you down. These turkey lettuce wraps are clean, savory, and packed with flavor in the best way. Lean ground turkey cooked with garlic, fresh ginger, and a touch of sesame oil, then finished with crunchy water chestnuts and wrapped in cool, buttery lettuce leaves. Every bite hits.
This is my kind of food. It feels good to eat, it’s protein-packed, and it doesn’t spike your blood sugar or leave you feeling heavy after. It’s the kind of meal you make when you want something quick but still intentional. When you want flavor without the fuss.
Perfect for busy nights, meal prep, or when you want something light but still filling. Add a little sriracha if you like heat, or keep it simple and let the flavors speak for themselves. Either way, this one stays in rotation.
Ingredients
6 oz ground turkey (99% lean)
1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce or coconut aminos
1 tsp sesame oil
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
1/4 cup water chestnuts, diced
2 green onions, sliced
8 butter lettuce leaves
Sriracha, optional
Instructions
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and brown the ground turkey, breaking it up as it cooks.
Add the garlic and fresh ginger and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Stir in the soy sauce, sesame oil, and water chestnuts.
Cook for 3 to 4 minutes until everything is well combined and heated through.
Spoon the turkey mixture into butter lettuce leaves and top with green onions.
Add sriracha if you want a little kick and enjoy.
